We are looking for a talented, highly motivated individual to join its International accounting team as a Senior Manager, specifically focused on the oversight of its International financial reporting compliance function. As a Senior Accounting Manager you will interact with different departments (Corporate accounting, international accounting, consolidations, tax, corporate development, finance and treasury) across the globe. This role will have a high level of visibility within the organization with opportunities to work directly with the Chief Accounting Officer, International Controller and Global Controller. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, mentor, and continue building a diverse team to propel the Company’s growth and success
- Manage a compliance team of 8 based in Warsaw, Poland that is responsible for the preparation of local statutory financials statements in accordance with IFRS or Local GAAP
- Manage the team’s interactions with the external auditors to facilitate completion of audit procedures in a timely and efficient manner
- Manage the planning and coordination of the financial reporting components of the external audit
- Relentless focus on timely and accurate financial accounting and reporting, process improvement and automation
- Maintain an effective internal controls over financial reporting environment to ensure compliance with policies and procedures
- Provide technical accounting support for significant and complex transactions impacting the International accounting team, including the implementation of new accounting standards related to US GAAP, IFRS and Local GAAP
✏️ Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA or equivalent designation required
- A minimum of 7 years of accounting experience required
- Financial reporting experience in a global US publicly listed Company is a plus
- Minimum of 5 years of Big 4 experience required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Coach, mentor, and develop accounting team
- Ability to present to Senior Management in a clear and concise manner
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and IFRS. Local GAAP knowledge is a plus.
- Ability to multi-task and manage several projects in a fast-paced start-up like environment
- A high level of initiative, drive and a strong sense of ownership
