Description:
We are looking for a experienced finance professional to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is a part of our excellent and passionate Central Finance team based in Stockholm. By joining us, you will be a key player in our central finance team.
As Senior Manager Accounting you will be overseeing and managing accounting function, developing processes and controls and ensuring month end close procedures are performed timely and accurately.
Your tasks is to develop the accounting function as a part of the finance team in Stockholm taking the responsibility for accounting, reporting and building and developing the accounting team.
Specific skills (eg specific programmes, languages, certifications etc)
- High level of energy and enthusiasm to work in a fast moving business
- Able to work independently and drive issues to conclusion with a sense of ownership to deliver.
- Experience with ERP systems; Dynamics365 experience is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with knowledge of Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, PowerBI etc.)
- Able to work well with others in a team environment.
- Effective communication skills.
- Highly accurate and detail oriented.
- Business language of Northvolt is English. Swedish is a plu
Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a team of specialists to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
- Drive and develop the monthly closing procedures and reporting process and ensure that all procedures are followed, including but not limited to approval of journals, ensuring accuracy of the accounts, review of reconciliations etc.
- Streamline and improve accounting systems and operations
- Together with the team sense check monthly and quarterly results.
- Collaborate with Global Shared Service Center to review the quality of information delivered.
- Managing audit activities
- Ensuring compliance with Swedish GAAP, IFRS and regulatory requirements

Skills & Requirements
We believe that you have :
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience as Accounting, Financial control or similar.
- Degree in accounting, business or similar. Professional qualifications ACCA, ACA or similar are a merit
- Experience of working at medium to large manufacturing company is preferred
