Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Finance, accounting, analytics and reporting, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, educatio

  • Experience supporting financial services industry

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • SEC reporting experience - specifically reviewing 10Ks and 10Qs

Responsibilities:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Accounting Policy Analyst to join our Controller’s organization.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead or participate in matters related to accounting standards and governance within finance, accounting and line of business management
  • Contribute to the preparation and reviewing of comment letters and other correspondence to accounting and regulatory standards
  • Provide consultation on transaction advisory and review assistance
  • Monitor and assess new rule making
  • Manage or support implementation of new accounting standards, merger and acquisition advisory and integration support
  • Provide support and collaborate with other functional areas
  • Provide technical advice, research, training and awareness to business lines, cross-functional teams and other accounting individuals
  • Lead implementation of complex projects impacting one or more lines of business
  • Understand compliance and risk management requirements for supported area and may support implementation of key risk initiatives
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, experienced stakeholders, internal and external audit teams, and banking regulators for accounting issues
  • Potentially interface with external agencies, regulatory bodies and industry forums
