We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Accounts Assistant to join our Client Accounts team. Based at our head office in Sale, you will play an important role in furthering the success of the company.

Working with your team, you’ll be fundamental in ensuring all accounts tasks are completed promptly and efficiently. The Senior Accounts Assistant will be responsible for maintaining accuracy and compliance within the department while providing support and training to junior team members and coordinating effectively with other departments. We are seeking a candidate with proven experience managing client accounts, ensuring efficiency, and maintaining strong professional relationships

- Previous demonstrable experience working in a similar role
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data
- Proven experience managing client accounts,
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in financial reporting
- Ability to work to strict deadlines and be able to prioritise workload
- Experience and the ability to work to tight deadlines
- Strong IT and Excel skills Computer literate
- High levels of integrity with a can do attitude
- Good numerical and problem solving ability
Responsibilities:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Senior Accounts Assistant will be responsible for performing all general accounts tasks, working within our busy clients accounts team, duties will include but will not be limited to;
- Bank Reconciliations: Ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded, identifying and resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Weekly Contractor Payment Runs: Process and execute weekly payments to contractors, ensuring accuracy, compliance with agreements, and timely disbursement of funds.
- Invoice Management: Create, log, and track invoices, maintaining detailed records for auditing and reporting purposes. Work closely with internal teams to resolve any discrepancies or missing documentation.
- Document Processing: Scan, organise, and file invoices and financial documents, ensuring compliance with company policies and accessibility for future reference.
- Cash Flow Reporting: Monitor and report on cash levels, providing insights to support financial planning and liquidity management.
- Supporting Audits: Play a supporting role in our audits to ensure documents are prepared and presented to the auditors in a timely fashion
- Mailbox Management: Oversee the accounts department’s mailbox, prioritising and responding to queries efficiently, while ensuring all communications are appropriately documented.
- Supplier Liaison: Act as a key point of contact for suppliers, managing queries, resolving payment issues, and maintaining strong professional relationships.
