Description:
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum: 5-7 years in actuarial roles, with substantial experience in insurance and a strong track record of leading projects.
- Preferred: 7+ years, with a strong life insurance background.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science or a related field.
SKILLS:
- Strategic Leadership: Proven ability to lead complex projects, develop strategic initiatives, and influence business outcomes at a senior level.
- Technical Mastery: Deep expertise in actuarial modeling, financial reporting, and advanced analytical tools. Proficiency with software such as MG-ALFA, Prophet, SQL, Python, or R is preferred. Extensive knowledge of both U.S. and International insurance regulations and standards is highly advantageous.
- Analytical Excellence: Strong analytical skills with a focus on solving complex problems and delivering data-driven insights.
- Communication Skills: Fluent in English, with the ability to convey complex actuarial concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences. Spanish language skills are a plus.
- Mentorship & Development: Experience in mentoring and developing actuarial talent, with a commitment to fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
Work Schedule: Flexible to work within U.S. time zones (EST to PST), with a focus on maintaining a balanced work-life dynamic given Argentina’s proximity to these time zones.
Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Lead Strategic Actuarial Projects: Oversee and manage large-scale actuarial projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and delivering actionable insights.
- Develop Advanced Models: Spearhead the development and refinement of complex actuarial models, leveraging the latest tools and methodologies to enhance business outcomes.
- Enhance Reporting & Analysis: Lead the production of financial reports, reserve calculations, and regulatory filings, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic alignment.
- Provide Expert Business Analysis: Offer deep actuarial insights to guide business strategies, working closely with finance, product, risk management, and other departments.
- Mentor & Develop Talent: Serve as a mentor and leader to junior and mid-level actuaries, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Manage risks and ensure all actuarial practices adhere to relevant regulations (e.g., U.S. Local Stat, SST, IFRS), applying your comprehensive understanding of both U.S. and International markets.
- Collaborate Across Functions: Partner with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to integrate actuarial insights into broader business strategies and operational plans.
