The Altera EMEA Sales director is looking for an executive assistant (F/D/M) to support the team in the transition to becoming an independent company and beyond.

The responsibilities include various administrative, organizational, financial, operational, and project-related activities in support of the Altera Sales Management Team in EMEA. The candidate provides advanced support to senior executives by regularly handling confidential information and performing advanced administrative support,

  • coordinates Microsoft teams calls and directs calls to the right stakeholders,
  • helps prepare for meetings and accurately records minutes from the meetings,
  • provides real-time scheduling support by booking appointments and preventing conflicts,
  • manages calendars, travel arrangements and expense reporting for two or more executives or managers
  • collects data and conducts data analysis to prepare documents for review and presentation by boards of directors, committees, and executives
  • manages records databases,
  • collaborates with administrative and/or operational staff to exchange data and information that enables budget planning and expense control and so actively builds beyond the administrative community the Altera team culture in EMEA such as providing learning and training opportunities for the team.

While performing in this executive assistant role the candidate gains in depth understanding of the roles, the collaboration of people on the team and their connections to other groups in the organization. They get to know key customer’s in EMEA, gain insights into their business and altera’s processes and understand strategic sales initiatives supporting business growth in those accounts. In collaboration with selected colleagues they are driving focused projects (like team meetings, customer events or prepare for trade shows) while keeping to timelines and budget asks.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Very good bachelor and A-level degrees
  • Fluent in both English and German both in writing and speaking
  • Experienced in Microsoft office tools, namely outlook, teams, excel and PowerPoint
  • Communication skills and drive as demonstrated in the planning, preparation, execution of an important project or volunteering activity
  • Demonstrated technical and/or economic interest and understanding in some of the areas of industrial, automotive, communication, broadcasting, datacenters and cloud, medical, test technologies and business
  • Positive attitude, team player, motivated learner and driven to provide results

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • FPGA knowledge
  • International experience
  • Willingness to travel
  • Reference letter (on request)
