About this opportunity:
We have a rewarding and challenging opportunity for a Senior Administrative Assistant to provide support for the Senior Vice-President, Corporate & Operations Services. This position requires excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to maintain a high degree of discretion and confidentiality. The successful candidate must be diligent, able to multi-task and prioritize, and work collaboratively with the executive assistants and the Cenovus Leadership team.
What you’ll do:
- Provide comprehensive administrative assistance to the SVP and managing calendars, scheduling meetings, managing folders/binders and coordinating travel arrangements
- Handle communications on behalf of the SVP, ensuring timely and professional communication with internal and external team members
- Prepare and review reports, presentations, and corporate documents for distribution Assist in the preparation of Board and Committee materials and other key documents as required
- Organize and coordinate meetings, including setting up agendas, preparing materials, and taking minutes when required. Responsible for supporting Corporate & Operation services town halls, including coordinating topics/presenters and drafting presentations
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and ensure secure handling of documents and communications
- Build and maintain positive relationships and networks across the company
Who you are:
Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
- 10+ years of executive assistant experience, with a background in the oil and gas industry
- Ability to interact professionally with senior executives, board members, and external partners
- Excellent organizational, multitasking and prioritization abilities
- Meticulous, proactive, and capable of working under pressure
- Flexibility to work after hours and weekends
