About this opportunity:
We have a rewarding and challenging opportunity for a Senior Administrative Assistant to provide support for the Senior Vice-President, Corporate & Operations Services. This position requires excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to maintain a high degree of discretion and confidentiality. The successful candidate must be diligent, able to multi-task and prioritize, and work collaboratively with the executive assistants and the Cenovus Leadership team.

What you’ll do:

  • Provide comprehensive administrative assistance to the SVP and managing calendars, scheduling meetings, managing folders/binders and coordinating travel arrangements
  • Handle communications on behalf of the SVP, ensuring timely and professional communication with internal and external team members
  • Prepare and review reports, presentations, and corporate documents for distribution Assist in the preparation of Board and Committee materials and other key documents as required
  • Organize and coordinate meetings, including setting up agendas, preparing materials, and taking minutes when required. Responsible for supporting Corporate & Operation services town halls, including coordinating topics/presenters and drafting presentations
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and ensure secure handling of documents and communications
  • Build and maintain positive relationships and networks across the company

Who you are:

Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:

  • Legally authorized to work in Canada
  • 10+ years of executive assistant experience, with a background in the oil and gas industry
  • Ability to interact professionally with senior executives, board members, and external partners
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking and prioritization abilities
  • Meticulous, proactive, and capable of working under pressure
  • Flexibility to work after hours and weekends
