Description:
- Provides guidance to section’s staff in required technical areas as needed.
- Organizes annual leave plan for staffs and submit to Head of Section for review.
- Consolidate the annual budget and operational plan for the section along with the Head of Units and submits
to Head of Section for review.
- Prepares the performance plans, training needs and evaluation for the staff and submits to concerned line
manager.
- Liaise with other organizational units in an effective manner to meet the needs of the section.
- Review and evaluate staff and customer suggestions and complaints and submits report to the Head of
Section.
- Provide section orientation to staffs and address administrative concerns accordingly.
- Review monthly and yearly metrics/statistics for the section; and submit to concerned line manager.
- Follow standard merge guidelines for identifying individuals with duplicate medical record numbers or the same medical record number assigned to more than one patient.
- Communicating with Medical Record departments within NABIDH participants to investigate issues and ensure implementation of best practices in patient identity management
- Follow procedures for selecting the winning medical record number, merging duplicate numbers and files, and updating the necessary databases based on client instructions.
- Assist with the development of step-by-step instructions regarding electronic merging, accuracy, and integrity of electronic and manual merging of duplicates.
- Report your activities weekly or as required, findings and actions of the MPI duplicate minimization program to the MPI Project Manager.
- Attend and participate in meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS
B.Sc. in Nursing or Health Information Management
Additional Qualifications:
Associate degree in related field preferred.
Prefer Certified Record Health Information Technician (RHIT) and/or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA).
Experience :
Minimum of four years of acute care experience in medical record analysis.
Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in health information systems, database management, spreadsheet design, and computer technology.
