We are seeking a highly qualified Senior Advanced Systems Engineer for our Broomfield, CO location who is well versed in systems engineering tools and processes to perform system-level trades, requirements development & flow down, system interface development, performance assessment, integration & test, verification, and validation. The desired candidate would have knowledge in lasers, optics, integrated photonics, atomic physics, spectroscopy, vacuum science, and quantum technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand, analyze, and manage complex customer requirements for electronic control systems, mechanical, optical and/or quantum computer platforms.
  • Define and evaluate performance of electrical, mechanical, opto-mechanical, laser, electro-optic, and quantum systems.
  • Impact the development of new technology & capabilities in pursuit of quantum computer hardware.
  • Manage collaborative efforts between research & development, engineering, and production teams.
  • Support product lifecycle activities.
  • Cultivate consensus among a multi-disciplined engineering team from conceptualization to development and delivery of new products and sub-systems.
  • Mentor junior engineers.
