Description:
As a data governance senior advisor, you help define and implement data management processes, allowing optimal and secure use of data for the benefit of members and clients, with compliance rules, privacy, privacy policies and security in mind. You assist teams by helping them recognize and manage data as a strategic asset. You lead stakeholders in developing practices adapted to a wide range of business needs and in complex, strategic data governance initiatives. You make recommendations about data use and compliance with governance documents that apply to data, as part of initiatives with a high degree of operational and conceptual complexity that have a significant impact on the business sector. Your initiatives require extensive, in depth knowledge of your line of work. You serve as a specialist advisor and subject matter expert on data governance for stakeholders, and as a resource person and coach for decision making bodies. You interact with many stakeholders working in a wide range of fields to understand and communicate issues and influence decision making. More specifically, you will be required to:
- Help data producers and users understand how to valorize data for the benefit of members and clients, in keeping with sound data governance
- Serve as a specialist advisor to teams in developing and applying data management processes and controls
- Develop, operationalize and improve standards, processes, tools and best practices related to data governance foundations
- Coordinate identification of the sector’s data governance needs and opportunities
- Help the sector analyze risks and potential gaps between what is set out in the governance documents and their operational practices
- Oversee the development and implementation of practices and mechanisms to ensure compliance with the governance documents that apply to data
- Coordinate, monitor, measure and communicate about the performance of the standards and the practices in place, including changes in data governance maturity
- Lead projects related to the development of data governance

What you bring to the table
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- A minimum of six years of relevant experience
- Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
- Knowledge of French is required
