Description:

As a Senior Advisor, Product Administration, you are a key contributor to the Mutual Fund Dealer for various independent distribution networks (SFL, DSFIN and DFSI) by using data, analytics and research in order to help all of the Mutual Funds Dealer understand industry trends, product developments and client behavior to manage and create a carefully cultivated investment product catalogue. In doing so, you act at all times in the best interest of the organization in order to meet corporate, departmental and advisor business objectives. More specifically, you will be required to:

  • Carefully craft and maintain a robust product shelf of mutual funds, GICs, principal protected notes, alternative and exempt market products
  • Conduct product due diligence and analysis in order to help the Dealer meet their Know Your Product requirements
  • Lead the Product Review Committee
  • Research and compile industry and client data in order to assist the Dealer in creating strategic and tactical programs that help meet the Dealers strategic growth and development goals
  • Making helpful recommendations and suggestions for the governance and evolution of the Dealer’s product catalogue
  • Engage internal and external stakeholders create business intelligence and analytics that can be used to engage both
  • Serve as product subject matter expert and assist internal and external stakeholder with all product-related questions

What you bring to the table

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • A minimum of six years relevant experience or association with the financial services industry
  • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • One of the following must be completed: The Canadian Investment Funds Course Exam administered by the IFSE Institute, The Canadian Securities Course Exam administered by Canadian Securities Institute, The Investment Funds in Canada Course Exam administered by Canadian Securities Institute, Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) designation by Canadian Securities Institute, Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation
  • Strong communication skills in both French and English, both oral and written due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with english-speaking partners, members and/or clients
  • Advanced knowledge of the legislation, rules and regulations applicable to the financial products and services industry
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (emphasis on excel)
