Responsibilities:
We are looking for savvy and knowledgeable Senior Advisors to join us in our Ministerial Services team.
As a Senior Advisor, Ministerial Services you will be responsible for managing responses to complex and sensitive requests, ensuring completion within required timeframes and to a high-quality standard. You will also provide regular information on the nature of issues being addressed by the team.
The role will require a sound knowledge of relevant legislation and machinery of government.
The Senior Advisor plays a critical role in this team, by building correspondence capability within the team and across the Ministry. The role is highly collaborative, and you will need the confidence to manage relationships and credibility at all levels across the Ministry. You will need to be able to see the bigger picture and make connections across work areas. You will have a ‘can do’ attitude with a strong service ethic, take ownership of your work and drive it through to delivery.
The Senior Advisor reports to the Manager, Ministerial Services. Our team is part of the wider Communications team, in the Corporate Services Business Group at the Ministry of Justice.
You will:
- Provide peer reviews, coaching and technical advice to Advisors.
- Analyse trends, identify issues and engage with others to seek solutions to continually improve services.
- Develop and manage relationships at all levels across the Ministry, as well as those outside the organisation.
- Be able to prioritise and reprioritise a busy, fast paced work programme.
