Opportunity: Senior AI Engineer - Scala

Responsibilities:

• Experiment and rapidly prototype multiple approaches to solve complex AI problems.
• Identify and curate appropriate datasets, driving annotation efforts for machine learning.
• Develop and maintain machine learning applications and products in collaboration with expert teams.
• Iteratively train and retrain models, running evaluations and statistical analyses of results.
• Stay current on state-of-the-art AI and machine learning technologies, identifying emerging academic and industry developments.
• Translate complex technical solutions and concepts into understandable terms for stakeholders.

Profile sought:
Education: Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, or a related field.

EXPERIENCE:

• 3+ years as an engineer (5+ years if highest degree is a bachelor’s).
• Expertise in Scala programming and experience with Scala Play Framework.
• Advanced knowledge of Elastic Search and experience with relational databases like Postgres.
• Proven experience with content applications and microservices.
• Proficiency in AI techniques such as natural language processing (NLP), classification, clustering, and optimization, with a solid understanding of their mathematical foundations.
• Python (OOP) skills preferred, with experience creating APIs (RESTful, Asynchronous) and using Docker and cloud platforms like Azure, GCP, AWS.
• Familiarity with LLMs and text representation in an NLP context is a plus.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS:

• Ability to write clean, production-ready code.
• Any experience in frontend development, cloud administration, serverless cloud tech, and deep Linux knowledge is a plus.
• Fluency in English is required; additional language skills are an asset.
• A creative, dynamic problem-solver who can work both independently and collaboratively, with strong team collaboration skills.
