Description:
South West London Acute Provider Collaborative (APC) supports the four local acute trusts - Croydon, Epsom and St Helier, Kingston and St Georges - in working together to improve the quality of our services and effectiveness of our operations.
The APC has a strong track record in achieving excellent patient outcomes and getting the best value from resources through collaborative working. Key aims of the collaborative are to:
(1) Reduce unwarranted variations in clinical practice and processes across a number of chosen specialties and pathways across our four trusts, so patients have equal access to the same high quality services across SWL
(2) Improve access and patient flows between our hospitals, to reduce waiting times and improve access to services closer to patients’ homes
(3) Achieve clinical sustainability by better networking of specialist staff and developing joint approaches to address workforce challenges
(4) Improve the value we get from our collective resources, by standardising and jointly procuring equipment and streamlining our operational models .
The development of a shared approach to quality improvement will be a key enabler for transformation and recovery. This includes the development of a shared approach to measure improvements and the development of the relevant capacity across the SWL system.
The role is responsible for the delivery of BI and analytic support to the Acute Provider Collaborative.
- Lead on engagement with programme and workstream leads across the system to deliver the required BI support to outpatients and diagnostics transformation.
- To be supported through an MDT approach, ensuring appropriate engagement with clinical networks and commissioning operations.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on statistical analysis and Population Health Improvement methodologies to support in the planning and delivery of community and acute services
- Manages projects and staff and collaboratively engages colleagues across the SWL system to support implementation of approaches to deliver outpatient and diagnostic recovery and transformation.
The post-holder will work as part of the SWL Multi-Disciplinary Analyst Team (MDAT) providing bespoke analytical services, with a primary focus on providing the business intelligence needed to support the Elective Recovery Programme and as part of that, the implementation of the Community Diagnostic Hubs Programme. There will be operational leadership of allocated staff to support delivery of all the posts objectives. As the team works in a matrix style, there is the opportunity to bring additional resources under the posts management on a quick and short term basis.
