We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Senior Analyst, Anaplan to join our Finance team in Langley, BC.
Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will be responsible for supporting end-users by developing tools and models on the connected planning platform to transform, modernize, and streamline existing finance functions.

You will be responsible for:

  • Participating and leading various projects within Anaplan, developing new enhancements and streamlining existing models to support and automate processes that align with the company’s goals and initiatives across all functions.
  • Leading requirements-gathering sessions by actively listening to end-users, understanding their challenges, and translating these into actionable solutions.
  • Formalizing a Center of Excellence for model building and ensuring proper documentation of processes.
  • Standardizing a training plan for end-user onboarding and adoption of Anaplan, while promoting change management.
  • Maintaining, monitoring, and enhancing the Data Hub within the connected planning platform Anaplan, in partnership with the financial systems and IT teams, to ensure data integrity.
  • Troubleshooting existing data models and identifying areas of improvements.

You have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, IT/computer science or related fields.
  • 3 to 5 years of work experience including at least 2 years of experience in both back and front end of cloud-based systems such as Anaplan.
  • A basic understanding of accounting principles, such as mechanism of debits, credits, trial balance, balance sheets and P&L.
  • Experience in data analysis, system development and process improvement.
  • Experience in creating a three-way dialogue between the business and Anaplan teams by translating business requirements into technical language.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, VBA, Power Query.
  • Level 2 Anaplan training with a keen interest in obtaining all Anaplan certifications is an asset.
  • Experience in reporting and building system-generated reports through Anaplan and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau is an asset.
  • Exposure to database software or languages (Oracle Essbase, Azure/AWS, SQL, Python, R) is an asset.
  • Experience project management, including leading small teams through end-to-end projects, is an asset.
