Anthesis’ business intelligence team provides leading global intelligence and compliance risk services, and specializes in enhanced due diligence investigations. Our team’s regional and sectoral expertise help the world’s foremost organisations make informed, ethical decisions about the professionals and businesses they work with, the assets they acquire, and where and how they operate. Some of the products the team offers to clients include compliance investigations, ESG due diligence, and human rights impact assessments.

We require as a minimum these qualifications and experience:

  • Fluency reading and writing English in a commercial context;
  • Several years’ - and at least two - experience working in a relevant industry;
  • Experience planning and managing multifaceted research projects from the proposal stage to delivery to client;
  • Knowledge of key client groups and experience interacting with clients;
  • Excellent research skills, attention to detail, and an ability to summarise information from various sources under time pressure;
  • Advanced reading skills in at least one language other than English;
  • A working knowledge of financial, commercial and legal concepts;
  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited university; and
  • Professional proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities:

Anthesis’ Business Intelligence team is seeking experienced researchers and/or case managers to join our business intelligence team in London. Ideal candidates will have experience in investigative due diligence and political risk, and the position offered will vary based on the candidate’s prior experience in the industry.
Candidates should have proven experience working in a fast-paced research environment, have excellent qualitative analytical skills, and a proven record of producing high quality research pieces for use in a commercial setting. Candidates should also display strong knowledge of global business and political environments, as well as displaying an innate sense of curiosity about international affairs, public policy and global markets more generally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage complex open source and human intelligence-led investigative assignments (these include pre-transactional integrity due diligence checks, human rights impact assessments and other bespoke investigations);
  • Write concise and cogent reports that weave in research findings with an in-depth contextualised analysis of issues at hand;
  • Deliver written and verbal briefings to senior management and clients on research findings;
  • Prepare proposals for new business;
  • Support the development of Anthesis Business Intelligence team’s human source network in Europe;
  • Once up to speed on our house style and methods of research, associates will also be expected to assist in training new European team members as well as other new joiners. As part of this, they would edit and proofread reports and provide constructive feedback.
