What we are looking for:
Reporting to the Vice-President, CIO Office, Public Markets Strategy & Solutions, the Senior Analyst will support the CIO Office in making sound and fully informed decisions to foster the growth and resilience of the global investment platform. This individual will monitor public market trends and competitor practices, perform due diligence on investment teams, and evaluate the performance of the investment platform and the evolving needs of our distribution channels and client base.
Your responsibilities:

Monitoring of Fiera Capital’s Public Markets investment platform

  • Perform regular due diligence on Fiera Capital’s investment teams (people, investment process, performance and risk, competitive and peer analysis, fund and product development, marketing potential, etc.).

Development of Fiera Capital’s Public Markets investment platform

  • Perform a relevance analysis from both client and business perspectives, contribute to the development of the business case and assist with implementation (recruitment, fund launch, sales pitch, etc.).
  • Contribute to Fiera fund initiatives (drafting investment policy statements; implementing fund launches, closures and modifications, etc.).

Support for investment teams in their strategic projects

  • Work closely with internal investment teams to help them successfully complete ad hoc business projects.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (trading, performance, client reporting, distribution, risk) to deliver projects and respond to requests in a timely and accurate manner.

Research and strategic thinking

  • Conduct research and stay up to date on financial market trends.
  • Monitor and understand the expectations of our distribution channels.
  • Identify the strengths, weaknesses and shortcomings of our investment platform.

Other responsibilities

  • Produce reports that will serve as the basis for the above-mentioned analyses.
  • Design and implement visualization tools to support and enhance the monitoring processes and procedures of the Public Markets platform.
  • Ensure that our internal systems integrate the latest information concerning our portfolio management teams, investment strategies and mutual fund mandates.

Must have requirements to be successful in this role:

  • At least five years of experience in investment management research, investment due diligence and fund analysis
  • Solid knowledge of quantitative methods, project management skills and experience in data organization
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, mathematics, actuarial sciences or any other quantitative discipline
  • Master’s degree in finance, financial mathematics or economics (asset)
  • CFA or other relevant designation (asset)
  • In-depth knowledge of the fixed income market (asset)
  • Strong project management and information organization skills
  • Excellent ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment with multiple deadlines
  • Ability to work in a collaborative and dynamic environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and French

For all positions in Quebec (Montreal and Laval), proficiency in French, both spoken and written, is mandatory. Working English proficiency is also required in order to serve our offices and clients around the world.
