JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Greystar is seeking an analytical, brand and customer experience-focused insights analyst with expertise in quantitative and qualitative research. This role is part of the in-house team driving the Customer Insights agenda for our Build to Rent and Student brand portfolios across seven core markets across Europe incorporating all our brands; Chapter Student, Canvas Student, OurDomain, Be Casa, Bloom, District Living and more.
Always thinking customer and data-first, you will leverage insights from multiple sources, survey platforms, focus groups and other online data sources to produce clear strategic insights and brand health tracking that drive the business forward.

KNOWLEDGE & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience in a customer-focused global business, particularly in retail or hospitality.
  • Expertise in Quantitative and Qualitative Research methods.
  • In-depth knowledge of Customer Segmentation and Persona Development, especially attitudinal segmentation.
  • Background in Brand Strategy development using Consumer Insights.
  • Familiarity with CRM and BI tools for data analysis is desirable.
  • Understanding of Media Planning/Buying is advantageous.
  • Previous use of data querying software or languages (e.g., R, SQL, SAS, MicroStrategy, Tableau, PowerBi, Blue Analyzer, Alteryx, Zoho) is desirable but not essential.
  • Degree in Marketing, Psychology, Sociology, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., IDM, CIM) are desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Senior Customer Strategy and Insights Manager to embed the Europe Customer Segmentation across the business.
  • Conduct audience research to support underwriting, leasing campaigns in collaboration with the Performance Marketing team, and placemaking initiatives (events & partnerships).
  • Deliver quantitative and qualitative research, including customer sentiment analysis, brand health tracking, and CSAT surveys via survey platforms and Reputation.com.
  • Partner with the Investment Research team to provide demographic analysis for potential property deals. Contribute to brand direction at the underwrite based on the EU pipeline.
  • Shape the European resident journey and Customer Experience strategy in alignment with the Operations team, including support on the delivery of the Customer Promises.
  • Analyse key customer data points to identify trends, delivering insights and actionable outputs to support the buying & renovation decisions, programming and operations approach, as well as amenities and services.
  • Prepare and present reports and visualisations of research findings, ensuring clarity and accessibility for colleagues and stakeholders across teams.
  • Monitor shifts in the consumer landscape to identify opportunities or challenges.
  • Co-lead brand development projects, managing RFP creation, vendor selection, and agency collaboration.
  • Lead strategic projects requiring expertise in consumer insights, brand strategy, data analytics, and evaluation.
  • Support Senior Marketing Managers across Europe in crafting go-to-market strategies and campaigns built using consumer insights and segmentation.
