In accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values, and strategic direction of the Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health) patient and staff safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone; as such, the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.
Reporting to a Manager within Device Engineering & Service Innovation, performs technical assessments, configuration, installation, technical support, documentation, and change management duties related to Desktop Managed Services, Managed Print Services, Microsoft Application and Workstation Virtualization, Mobility, clinical call system and related technologies. Responsible for providing the operational, planning, technical delivery, management and updates to core components such as Thin Client, mobility and print technology delivery and management systems.
Assists cross-functional IMIT teams in troubleshooting complex problems related to the deployment and management of the technologies listed above. Assists with training and technical support to Line of Business departments and assists with technical orientation and training of users of the deployment solutions and tools. Identifies system problems and corresponds with Lines of Business and implements recommended solutions.
Provides the senior skills required for the management and day-to-day operational and technical delivery and support of Island Health’s end point services to multiple lines of business within Island Health. Their role is to provide analysis, development, implementation, and maintenance of Device Engineering related services, as well as supporting any layered products, software, and hardware following strict adherence to Island Health’s ITIL-based Change Management and Service Desk Incident Management policies and processes.
The Senior Analyst, Device Integration will also be responsible to provide leadership to the day-to-day operations team by providing operational supervision and technical oversight to other members within the assigned Device Engineering team.
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Grade 12, graduation from a recognized degree or diploma program in Computer Science plus four years’ recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
