ABOUT THE ROLE:
An exciting opportunity to join the Global Alpha Fund team as a Sr. Analyst and work for CBRE Global Investment Management’s flagship global, core plus, open end fund product. The Global Alpha Team is dynamic and this role sits at the heart of the day-to-day operations including close interaction with the Fund Manager and wider portfolio management and investment team.
Global Alpha is diversified across geographies and sectors, using a range of investment structures including funds, joint ventures, co-investments, club deals, listed investments and direct assets. This role includes portfolio management responsibilities for the Global Alpha Fund including input on portfolio strategy, investment selection, portfolio monitoring, and client relationship management.
As a member of the portfolio management team for Global Alpha you will be responsible for contributing to superior investment performance. Assess new investment opportunities. Review and monitor existing portfolio holdings via detailed performance attribution analysis. Work with Client Solutions to enable coherent, insightful reporting to investors.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Think independently, evaluate investment opportunities, and provide recommendations as part of the Fund Management team.
- Collaborate with the regional investment teams, performance analytics team, and financial operations team to aggregate portfolio data and insights.
- Assist in executing due diligence of complex transactions as well as monitoring and forecasting investments.
- Provide excellent customer service and problem resolution for clients, sponsors, and internal partners.
- Review and interpret high level deal documents, including joint venture agreements and monitor compliance in accordance with those documents.
- Conduct research and financial evaluation of large commercial real estate properties and portfolios. Present findings that will be used to drive potential investment opportunities.
- Contribute to Fund quarterly reporting process.
- Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routine problems.
- Have a broad knowledge of own job discipline and some knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
