Description:

WHAT SOFTWARE ASSET MANAGEMENT CONTRIBUTES TO CARDINAL HEALTH:

Information Technology oversees the effective development, delivery, and operation of computing and information services. This function anticipates, plans, and delivers Information Technology solutions and strategies that enable operations and drive business value.
IT Asset Management is responsible for governing the license management for IT hardware and software assets. Flexera One SaaS tool is utilized to drive savings opportunities and license compliance with Cardinal Health Solution and Product Owners.
This position will be responsible for completing software renewals and delivering license savings reports to Solution Owners utilizing FlexeraOne. This role will also assist in evaluating client requests, prioritizing, coordination of case workflow, and managing client escalations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Two-year degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in IT software asset management.
  • Intermediate level of working knowledge of ServiceNow and desktop software license management. BuyNow experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting multi-platform environment requests for ServiceNow, Microsoft, Adobe, Azure, and other hybrid software applications.
  • Demonstrated excellent communication, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to motivate and direct team members to build productive, cooperative work teams.
  • Proven ability to effectively collaborate with others, initiate action, and adapt to change.
  • Proactive, innovative, and creative in meeting customer and enterprise needs.
  • Demonstrated experience applying strong analytical, problem solving, organizational, and planning skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Requires working knowledge of software asset management and application of best practices.
  • Works with subject matter experts to implement best practices for managing software license assets.
  • Applies learnings from proficiency meetings.
  • Partners with solution, product, and contracts teams to ensure timely software renewals.
  • Delivers on-time renewal deliverables and savings reports.
  • Provides data driven insights from Flexera One and software analysis to highlight opportunities to increase efficiency, optimize cost, and reduce risk.
  • Applies working knowledge of SOPs to create and maintain documentation.
  • Coordinates the fulfillment of detailed service requests.
  • Responsible for license stock review, software deployments, manual software installations, and mass software deliveries that require manual review, assignment, and possible purchase.
  • May assist with the resolution of advanced issues.
  • Contributes to the development of policies and procedures, audits, and automation projects.
  • Provides innovative solutions for increasing speed to delivery of software.
  • Coordinates purchases for projects of moderate size and organizational span.
  • Accounts for budget and cost savings targets throughout the purchasing process.
  • Applies harvesting processes to lend to positive financial outcomes.
