BASIC FUNCTION

We are looking for a professional to join our Tax Excellence team in supporting the global Tax function via system administration, data management, and custom solution development/maintenance.
The role of the Sr. Tax Analyst - Tax Technology and will engage directly with multiple tax teams to ensure their ability to operate effectively and efficiently.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, MIS/CIS or equivalent

WORK EXPERIENCE:

6 to 10 years of experience in a system administration and custom development role with strong evidence of promoting innovation and efficiency by streamlining and standardizing business processes while leading others in an organization with similar operational scale and geographic footprint. Flexibility to accommodate multiple time zones required.
A background in tax is not mandatory or necessary. Strong candidates with the skills required, from backgrounds other than tax, will be considered.
Languages: Fluent in written and spoken English, additional language a plus

OTHER SKILLS:

  • Able to leverage system configuration knowledge of SAP, BW, and OneStream to extract data efficiently from the systems to support Tax team processes and deliverables
  • Experience in analyzing large volumes of data and transforming for Tax purposes
  • Courage to ask questions and to provide suggestions on best practices regarding Tax function data, systems, and process needs
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Ability to multi task, take direction, and be self-motivated
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong project management, communication and documentation skills
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, Visio, and Power Point
  • Advanced in MS Power Platform including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI
  • Advanced in Alteryx, Power Query and/or similar Extract Transform and Load (ETL) tool
  • Familiarity with the end to end financial data processes is a plus
  • Knowledge in OneSource suite (OTP, OIT, OIC), BNA Fixed Assets, and Vertex a plus

Responsibilities:

  • You will design, support, and maintain Tax owned applications and solutions, including regression and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • You will document business cases, processes, system/solution designs, and end user trainings/templates
  • You will assist in evaluating project scope, risks, obstacles and status, escalating concerns as appropriate
  • You will deliver on time per project scope and/or stakeholder expectations
  • You will respond timely to support requests in regards to Tax systems and/or solutions
  • You will work independently and collaboratively with various levels, departments, and vendors/consultants
  • You will manage Tax Technology process and procedures documentation
  • You will assist in delivering on Tax Excellence vision, roadmap, strategy and operating model
  • You will participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives as well as support enterprise wide efforts, advocating for Tax
  • You will advise Tax teams on data, systems, and processes, including hosting trainings as requested
  • You will be a change champion, encouraging optimal end user adoption
  • You will assess market offerings and technology trends as well as network with peers/vendors/consultants to bring ideas and cultivate innovation
