Description:

JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Finance Lead to partner with the Mount Vernon site controller and manufacturing operations to create forecasts, analyze performance variances, and provide decision support. The successful candidate will focus on developing processes to assist in project analysis and understanding the true cost position of the MTV site.

How You Can Be the Impact:

  • Provide financial advice and analysis to the MTV site in support of critical decision making and cost optimization
  • Partner with operations on development of KPIs and continuous improvement of cost models and forecasting tools
  • Develop strategic analysis with operations to maximize profit, optimize asset loading and deliver lowest, best in class cost to produce for relevant markets
  • Responsible for assisting with financial budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis for the MTV site (Production Planning, Fixed Cash Cost and Utilities).
  • Assist in providing monthly manufacturing cost and KPI analysis - Update and test cost curves for validity quarterly; Analyze Phenol JV Plant cash cost
  • Assist in the planning and forecasting process; provide meaningful variance analysis and recommendations for improvements
  • Monitor, provide guidance and financial analysis for the MTV Landlord arrangements
  • Partner with Business Unit Finance relative to strategic projects and analysis
  • Test assumptions and validate benefits associated with capital investment projects, and associated benefits
  • Assist Controller in Special Projects or new initiatives
  • Report regional monthly fixed cash cost, overtime, utilities, and production data
  • Assist product costing and general ledger accounting team in producing accurate monthly accruals; review G&A cost centers for accurate accounting
  • Participate as part of the Polycarbonate benchmarking team by providing relevant cost and usage related data; understand key drivers and impacts.
  • Create and standardize materials and usages data for monthly reviews with regional SME; identify appropriate targets; work with data team to automate for continuous improvement; share best practices with other sites
  • Mentor summer students, interns or temporary help within the department as needed; provide insights/suggestions in assigning pertinent role responsibilities
  • Work with leadership as a Cost/Cash champion for cost out projects; report and track savings as required
