The Senior Analyst, Merchandising and Mapping works closely with the Merchandising teams, Divisional teams, and Operations to map promotional space in our Home, Entertainment, Health and Beauty departments. The Sr Analyst will support the creation of an accurate, user friendly, Customer-centric promo floor map through end-to-end promo planning and inventory tracking.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Synthesizes category promo plans with customer journey through assignment of promo items to suitable floor space
  • Oversees creation and distribution of pocket guides to ensure timely execution of merchandising plans
  • Creates quarterly execution guides to convey program details and merchandising instructions to our stores
  • Analyzes promo floor plans to identify, understand and troubleshoot potential issues
  • Adjusts pocket guide based on outcome of weekly inventory tracking
  • Provides Merchandising teams with weekly promo space productivity reporting and insights
  • Navigates and build relationships with multiple stakeholders
  • Reviews weekly competitor flyers and supports West Ad Match program
  • Other duties as required

REQUIREMENTS

  • Post-secondary education in Business or Economics or related field
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Previous experience in retail operations and/or merchandising preferred
  • Strong team player with advanced interpersonal skills
  • Intermediate technical skills – with MS Office (esp. Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Experience in Loblaw systems and/or SAP preferred
  • Detail oriented and strong time management skills
  • Ability to contribute to promotional programs in line with corporate strategies
