This is a strategic position responsible for driving the business performance of the Managing General Agents (MGA) portfolio at Aviva. This role involves producing and analyzing performance data, supporting business review meetings with our MGA partners, and providing actionable insights to drive profitable growth and competitiveness of the business. The role offers a great opportunity to get involved in various aspects of the MGA relationships and work closely with the underwriting experts within our team as well as other teams across Aviva.
The individual is required to have a high level of technical skills, system knowledge and business analytical skills to assimilate disparate information from various systems/applications into cohesive reports that will be used by key stakeholders in driving key business decisions.

What you’ll do

  • Support the build and enhancement of Business Intelligence reports, dashboards, and interactive tools to meet business needs.
  • Work closely with Commercial Insurance colleagues, as well as Operations, Finance, Reserving, Claims, and other teams to provide timely and accurate information, insights, and reporting.
  • Own the preparation of content to enable delivery of data and insights into portfolio trends, changes or challenges that may impact future performance and position in the market.
  • Support the underwriting team in ensuring they have the data needed to support MGA business and relationships.
  • Lead external performance meetings with MGAs, providing forward looking insights and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with the MGAs and Aviva’s processing teams to streamline data reporting from the MGAs to Aviva’s systems.
  • Work closely with operational teams to improve data extraction procedures. Recommend and implement actions to improve operational and reporting efficiencies to maintain a high level of MI reporting quality.
  • Uphold data governance and control.

What you’ll bring

  • Strong business knowledge and technical skills to deliver optimal, appropriate and accurate information to the business using a variety of reporting tools.
  • A drive for results and an ability to be a self-starter with the ability to take initiative and adjust to shifting priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to assess qualitative and quantitative value of products/features and summarize key insights and recommendations into executive level.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) with the ability to listen effectively and communicate clear, concise to target audiences.
  • Proven ability to embrace change, be highly adaptable and flexible, decisive and display excellent judgment.
  • Previous P&C industry knowledge would be an asset.
  • Strong capability in Microsoft Excel is an asset.
  • Bachelor’s degree (Computer Science, Mathematics or Business Administration) is preferable.
  • Full understanding of the processes of data quality, data cleansing and data transformation
  • Qlik Sense certification is preferred.
