SENIOR ANALYST OF FP&A - RETAIL

Reporting to the Senior Director of Finance, the Senior Analyst of FP&A – Retail will serve as the primary financial advisor for our retail operations. This role involves managing the store P&L statements (forecasting, reporting, and analysis), working with our Retail Expansion teams to assess future store sites, and collaborating with Retail Experience and Operations teams to build tools and incentives that enable store success. The ideal candidate must have strong communication skills, willingness to work in an ever-changing environment, and a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation, continuously seeking ways to develop and optimize processes.

EXPERIENCE LEVEL

  • Accounting, finance or business degree, with 5+ years of experience in an FP&A role (CPA preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in the retail industry
  • Strong financial modelling and analytical skills
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Ability to multi-task and problem solve

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with store teams to forecast P&Ls by store
  • Analyse actuals, work with accounting to ensure accuracy at store level, and report on actuals and variance to forecast
  • Work with Retail Expansion team to evaluate the validity of new retail locations, including projecting Payback and ROI
  • Assist in managing capex budgets and cashflow forecasting for new stores
  • Work with Retail Experience and Operations teams to build and evaluate store bonus plans and incentives
  • Liaise with merchandise planning to align on store sales targets and inventory fulfilment at a store level
  • Ensure store sales, cash, and inventory are reconciled monthly
  • Advise on store staffing and payroll implications to P&L
  • Analyse store-level KPIs, drawing insights that help drive future performance
  • Create financial models, reports, and presentations as needed
