An exciting opportunity has opened for a Senior Analyst in the Transformation Directorate’s Workforce, Training and Education Analytics Team. This team, comprised of analysts from various backgrounds, collaborates to deliver high-quality insights on the NHS workforce to support key programmes.
As a Senior Analyst, you’ll work with colleagues from the Workforce, Training and Education Directorate, NHS England teams and the Department of Health and Social Care, playing a crucial role in delivering analytical insights and expert advice.
Key responsibilities include ensuring data quality, translating complex analyses into reports to support workforce programmes. You’ll also manage risks, guide work programmes and line manage team members.
We seek a candidate with a degree in a numerical discipline (or equivalent experience), advanced Excel skills, and experience in tools like Tableau, Power BI or SQL. You should be able to extract key messages from complex data, communicate clearly and work both independently and collaboratively. Experience in leading analytical projects, managing deadlines and engaging with senior stakeholders is essential. As is the ability to manage junior staff and maintain composure under pressure.
This role is vital to delivering high-quality analytical outputs across NHS England’s system-based projects, supporting the organisation’s strategic goals.
