Our Prudential Risk team in the EMEA region is dedicated to ensuring the stability and compliance of our operations through expert oversight and planning. We specialize in interpreting prudential rules, providing policy advice, overseeing risk, conducting stress testing, and crafting comprehensive recovery, resolution, and wind-down plans for our European entities.

What role will you play?
As a vital member of our Prudential Risk team, you will coordinate and prepare essential documentation including recovery plans, resolution returns, and wind-down plans, ensuring our European entities are well-prepared and compliant. This role involves close collaboration with various stakeholders across the organization, such as finance, risk, treasury, and front office teams, as well as senior management, to maintain consistency and leverage insights from across the business. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with stress testing and scenario development team, playing a key role in our governance and strategic planning processes.
What you offer
- A foundational understanding of recovery and resolution planning under UK and European regulations, gained through direct experience or a background in capital adequacy or liquidity management within banking, investment firms or consultancy
- Experience of staying informed about regulatory developments and policy changes in the UK and Europe that impact our planning processes
- Proven experience in leading or playing a significant role in cross-organizational projects, with a knack for problem-solving and collaboration
- Strong numerical and analytical capabilities, with meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of breaking down complex concepts for a variety of audiences, coupled with the confidence to present to governance committees and entity boards

About the Risk Management Group
In our Risk Management Group, you will be part of an independent, and centralised function, responsible for independent and objective review and challenge, oversight, monitoring and reporting in relation to Macquarie’s material risks. Our divisions include Compliance, Credit, Financial Crime Risk, Internal Audit, Market Risk, Operational Risk, Prudential Risk, and Risk Management Group Central.
