Responsibilities:

In this role you will:

  • Support the planning and implementation of GI and GT controls with relevant stakeholders.
  • Support the execution of GI and GT Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs) and Risk Maturity Self-Assessment (RMSA).
  • Monitor and report on the management of issues and incidents (I&I) and provide support and advice to issue and incident owners.
  • Support the business team for ad-hoc review or implementation of existing or new processes and controls.
  • Manage the monitoring, reporting and consolidation of ESG/sustainability related requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders (Group Investments, Group Treasury, Treasury & Investment Accounting, Investment System Solutions, Group Legal, Line 2 Risk and Compliance, Internal Audit) and external audit.
  • Provide secretarial support for the Classification of Social and Environmental Investment (COSEI) Committee
  • Support the development of policies and procedures associated with investments sustainability, ESG and Premiums4Good.

About you

  • Prior experience in risk/compliance/audit roles with a focus on investment management and/or corporate treasury functions.
  • Extensive knowledge of compliance/obligation/risk management framework along with a working knowledge of Australian insurance prudential regulations/obligations relevant to Investment & Treasury Departments for an insurer across risk management (e.g., CPS 220, CPS226, CPS230) and financial resilience (e.g., GPS110, GPS114)
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Ability to work in a changing environment where processes and controls are evolving at pace
  • Excellent planning and workflow management skills
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Practising Risk Manager (CPRM) qualifications would be advantageous but are not essential.

The interview process will consist of 2-3 interviews, SHL assessment and background checks.
