Description:

As a Senior Analyst in the Model Risk Management team at National Bank, you will be responsible for managing, supporting and optimizing the inventory (directory or register) of the Bank’s models and systems.
Model inventory is an important component of Model Risk Management. All models that will be deployed in the organization must be identified, recorded and versioned to allow tracking of all actions performed on them well before they are developed until they are decommissioned..
You will also work closely with model lifecycle stakeholders to explain the regulatory and internal requirements applicable when documenting model information, while also understanding their needs, resolving technical issues and proposing continuous improvements in terms of collecting the required information.

YOUR TEAM:

As part of Enterprise-Wide Risk Management team at National Bank, the Model Validation and Model Risk Management Group identifies, measures and manages model risks across the Bank.
We are responsible for managing model risk at the Bank and validating several groups of models used by the Bank in accordance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Explaining requirements: Explain and simplify regulatory and internal requirements for maintaining a central inventory of models, while ensuring that all stakeholders understand the importance of this process.
  • Continuous improvement: Propose and implement improvements to optimize inventory collection and documentation processes.
  • Collaboration: Work with all teams involved in the model lifecycle and ensure information is updated in a timely manner.
  • IT application: Oversee the smooth operation of the Model Management Application, including maintenance, updates and changes needed to meet the needs of users and of the Inventory Manager.
  • Control: Ensure the integrity, accuracy and completeness of documented information and carry out regular checks to identify any inconsistencies.
  • User support: Provide front-line support to teams who use the application by resolving technical issues and answering questions.
  • Documentation and training: Create/maintain technical documentation and inventory user guides. Organize training sessions for users as needed.
  • Reporting: Analyze and summarize data on models and the risks associated with their use; develop dashboards and support the preparation and reporting of information on models based on requests from committees and senior management.
