Senior Analyst, Forensics and Information Management Branch
- Up to three (3) ongoing or fixed term roles in the Forensics and Information Management Branch, Corporate Services Division
- Salary $92,332 plus 11.5% superannuation – VPS Grade 4
- Based in Melbourne CBD or Ballarat, with hybrid working arrangements

The opportunity The Senior Analyst is responsible for undertaking complex research and analysis projects relating to compliance with State legislation, organisational compliance, strategic and tactical intelligence and policy development. This role is required to develop and implement information collection plans; prepare a range of comprehensive research papers and reports; and provide oral/written advice to management.
Reporting to the Manager, Forensics and Information Management Branch, you will be responsible for:
- Undertaking high level analysis and research tasks relating to organisational compliance and revenue issues and preparing associated research papers and reports
- Providing expert analytical advice to senior management on matters under investigation
- Undertaking analysis and maintenance of internal and external data for intelligence and investigation
- Developing and implementing information collection plans and manage specific projects
- Providing oral/written advice on issues relating to industry and revenue trends
Who we are looking for To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A demonstrated record of achievement as an analyst, preferably in a tax or revenue compliance environment
- A demonstrated knowledge of and experience in one or more specialised analytical software packages and expertise in the creation of data queries from relational databases
- Sound knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and the intelligence cycle and experience in the development of strategic and tactical intelligence assessments
- A demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, meeting time and budget requirements
