Job Description
The Non-Financial Risk Technology team is seeking a senior Angular Web Developer. The successful candidate will be part of a development team in the Morgan Stanley Montreal office and will be responsible for the development of Angular solutions to support firm initiatives.
Required skills:
- Angular, TypeScript, CSS, JavaScript, Git, Experience working and integrating front end applications with RESTful Middle-Tier Applications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Web Design, or related field required
- At least 5+ years of hands-on web design experience with significant Angular experience
- Strong knowledge of CSS, JavaScript, and web design principles
- An understanding of core web application design patterns, such as Model View Controller and Single-Page Web Applications
- Strong design and interpretations skills, including the ability to understand business requirements and translate them into efficient and effective user interfaces
- Experience developing Wireframes, Storyboards, and Mockups, and working with UX team
Other Desired Skills:
- Experience with Web Development in Java/J2EE stack is preferred
- Familiarity with Continuous Integration, Automated Testing, and modern Web Design patterns and best practices
Responsibilities:
- Operate as a lead Angular / Front end developer for the GRC Operational Risk and Compliance Applications Team
- Independently design and develop components in the latest Angular release supporting various Web Application efforts, while supporting more Junior members of the team in their development efforts
- Bring a wealth of experience with TypeScript supporting Angular development
- Develop other core JavaScript components leveraging modern libraries, while integrating these solutions into our Application Stack
- Participate in the development of advanced UX features, working closely with Web Designers and design forums to incorporate the latest technology into our stack
- Provide assistance and guidance during the QA & UAT phases to quickly confirm the validity of potential issues and to determine the root cause and best resolution of verified issues
