Senior Application Developer

SKILLS:

• A degree in a relevant technical subject or Microsoft certification.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in object-oriented development with the .NET Framework.
• Experience in developing .NET web applications or web services.
• Experience in SQL Server development.
• Competent in developing, testing, and debugging applications.
• Understanding of system and data security considerations.
• Experience working in an Agile (Scrum) environment.
• Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills.

PURPOSE:

• Design, develop, maintain, and support business applications in line with business requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Participate in long-range planning for new projects and serve as an advisor on data processing procedures.
• Analyse and interpret organisational problems, design or modify applications, and produce required documentation.
• Develop and support The Trust’s applications from requirements definition through to deployment, adhering to methodologies and standards.
• Provide test systems/data for system and user testing and support user acceptance testing.
• Act as an escalation point for technical support issues and support IT Business Support in diagnosing and resolving issues.
• Prepare and maintain documentation for the deployment and maintenance of applications.
• Coordinate user input for requirements definition and manage user meetings and workshops.
• Undertake development of web-related technologies and ensure adherence to defined standards.
