  • Knowledge of coding language like Java/Typescript/Javascript
  • Experience with monitoring platforms e.g Splunk
  • An understanding of DevOps principles and tooling
  • Good to have knowledge of AWS
  • Experience with version control (Git, Subversion)

Responsibilities:

WHAT DOES THE ROLE INVOLVE?

As part of the Applications Team, you will be managing various tasks which we will tailor to your strengths. You will be supporting the Development and Operations Team as well as coaching multiple colleagues to help grow their technical skills. Some key duties will be to provide 3rd-line support as well as monitoring and logging information to solve any priority incidents and application issues. You’ll be given the opportunity to learn new technologies including Webservices Integration, and AWS, low code platforms and will learn in a supportive and friendly environment. This role involves on call support, which is maximum of once per month for 1 week. We work a hybrid model where you will be required to work from our Leeds office location once a week.

SOME OF YOUR KEY DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • 3rd line support including Troubleshooting and diagnosing live incidents and managing through to resolution.
  • Identifying and monitoring the cause of incidences, following up with learning and improvement activities
  • Sharing ideas and strategies for the continuous improvement of operations and software applications
  • Providing hands-on expertise on coding/scripting for purposes of automation, packaging of deployments and test execution
  • Mentoring and coaching, the application support engineers and support the day today activities and task.
