TalentWorld is recruiting a Senior Applications Architect in Toronto, Ontario for one of our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Design the overall structure and interactions of applications, ensuring compliance with GO-ITS standards.
  • Manage cross-platform applications, defining source code requirements and monitoring system integration.
  • Establish how applications interact with databases and middleware systems.
  • Identify and implement reusable components, set quality metrics, and organize software layers.
  • Analyze and recommend solutions based on cost-benefit and impact assessments.
  • Create detailed architecture documents, including models and implementation plans.
  • Oversee enterprise architecture tasks, ensuring alignment with strategic technology roadmaps.
  • Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies, applying insights to enhance system design.
  • Clearly present technical concepts and architectural plans to diverse audiences.
  • Engage with stakeholders to refine requirements and ensure successful solution delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
  • TOGAF or similar enterprise architecture certification; cloud certifications (AWS, Azure) are a plus.
  • 7+ years in application architecture with complex systems.
  • Proficient with various platforms and operating systems.
  • Experience with development and CASE tools.
  • Skilled in Java, C#, or Python.
  • Knowledge of Oracle, SQL Server, or NoSQL databases.
  • Familiar with APIs, middleware, and protocols (SOAP, REST).
  • Experience in enterprise architecture design.
  • Up-to-date with trends in cloud computing and cybersecurity.

Employment Details

  • Salary: $85.00HR - $90.00HR
  • Benefits: 37.5 Hours weekly, Contract, Full-time, Hybrid
  • Schedule: 8:00AM to 4:30PM, Monday to Friday
  • Other: 3 months contract, possibility of extension
