Senior Applications Specialist

Seeking a technical Business Analyst with a strong understanding of tech solutions who can work with technical teams, business stakeholders and vendors to support the implementation, upgrades and any changes to applications within the applications team.

• Understand business requirements and devise technical solutions
• Work with an architect and vendor on design optimization
• Participate in coding and development activities (not do but direct to appropriate parties
• Contribute to internal documentation
• Manage assigned projects, ensuring timely and successful completion
• Serve as a representative of the owner, filling gaps, setting up technical environments, and interfacing with other IT to resolve problems
• Drive the projects and take initiative as necessary
• During installation periods, there may be occasional evening or weekend work.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role within the financial services industry
• Understanding of Business Process Functions
• Ability to create and manage Business Requirement Documents
• Experience in Claim Administration within the financial services industry
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
