Description:
- Work in the Payments domain within Chief Technology Office (CTO)
- Permanent role based in Sydney
- Work with a close-knit team with high performance
WHAT DO I NEED TO SUCCEED?
- Significant experience working in Cards Issuing across Credit, Debit, and Corporate products, including digital wallets and tokenisation.
- Strong retail payments experience across in person and online payments involving payment authorisation and processing.
- Experience working with external partners, vendors, card schemes, and industry bodies around innovations and mandates.
- Experience in designing digital originations and servicing journeys will be highly regarded.
- Experience in various integration patterns like real time, events, streaming, and batch utilising REST, micro-services, MQ, and Kafka.
- Experience in an eco-system of heritage applications and processes that are undergoing modernisation activities, and have successfully navigated different integration challenges
- Experience in information security concepts and how they can be applied to deliver secure solutions appropriate for financial services organisations
- Knowledge of application hosting in either AWS, Azure or GCP and associate technologies and cloud native tools
Education: We are seeking tertiary level qualifications in IT, Computer Science or a related discipline.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in the analysis of Information Technology solutions to ensure effective solutions are delivered to the business. Ensure accurate representation of business/technical requirements in solutions through collaboration with business users, technology groups and suppliers. Track the Technology requirements across all phases and contribute to IT impact assessments to understand the impact of changes to requirements across all phases
- Contribute to the improvement of methodologies and processes for functional design activities to ensure continuous improvement of technology and business outcomes Adhere to the Westpac Group’s methodologies, tools and standards to ensure consistency and compliance with Westpac standards.
- Contribute to development of relationships with key senior business and technology stakeholders to provide input and approval during the development of solutions and architectural direction. Provide technology advice and guidance to Senior Business and technology project stakeholders within a project to assist the business in the formulation of business strategy and technology investment decisions
