Hopewell Residential, a premier home builder and community developer in Alberta for over three decades, is seeking an experienced Senior Architectural Draftsperson to enhance our team. Immerse yourself in a role where your designs become the foundation of homes and neighbourhoods that bring people together.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least 6 years of residential drafting and design experience in the new home construction sector, specifically wood frame building construction.
  • Architectural Technologist Designation from a recognized institution.
  • Mastery of AutoCAD and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A collaborative spirit coupled with exceptional communication skills.
  • Vigorous attention to detail and a proactive approach, methodical and consistent.
  • Superior organizational and adept time-management abilities.
  • Ability to captain a task, documenting and providing leadership to other team members when asked.
  • A strong technical background is an asset.

Responsibilities:

  • Create plot plans, siting the home in relation to the street scape and grading the home as per community guidelines.
  • Complete drafting of customer files, spec homes, show homes and sales centers for single family projects as per the contract and within the constraints of building codes and municipal bylaws.
  • Submit files for architectural control approval and process completed applications.
  • Coordinate with trade supply partners to receive the necessary documents required for building permits and construction.
  • Prepare files, as needed, and submit for permit submission.
  • Verify files for accuracy and completeness at all stages of the pre-construction process.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
