Responsibilities:

  • Leading team members and actively participates in the preparation of drawing packages for various permit submissions and/or construction
  • Reviewing and communicating current project status to the Partner in Charge/Project Manager at regular intervals
  • Working with the team to ensure project success as measured by client satisfaction, work quality, profitability, and fostering team professionalism and collaboration
  • Working with the design team to identify specific design objectives, complex features and possible solutions
  • Working with the design team to develop detailed design concepts and translating them into design development documents
  • Coordinating consultant teams
  • Liaising with clients and Approving Authorities
  • Reviewing and/or preparing project code analysis
  • Attending and leading meetings with clients and/or consultants as required
  • Reviewing drawings for Building Science accuracy, consultant coordination and compliance with local Building Codes and City Bylaw requirements prior to submission
  • Coordinating project tendering
  • Leading product research including building components and systems.
  • Attending site meetings, completing shop drawing reviews and providing contract administration support, as required
  • participating in mandatory training sessions, and consistently practicing safe work habits. You are responsible for identifying and reporting potential hazards, contributing to a safe working environment, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
