Responsibilities:

Heritage NSW is looking to appoint a temporary full-time Senior Assessments Officer in the Heritage Assessments Branch. Senior Assessments Officers undertake a range of regulatory assessment functions under the Heritage Act 1977, the National Parks Ands Wildlife Act 1974, and the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979. We are looking for someone to join our team that is responsible for assessing the heritage impacts of Integrated Development Applications on some of NSW most significant heritage sites. Expertise in heritage architecture would be highly desirable. You will provide expert heritage advice on approval pathways, as well as advice on the effective management and conservation of built heritage. You will also be responsible for preparing accurate and timely written reports, submissions, briefing notes and correspondence on a range of assessment and approval matters.
