Description:
Application Deadline: Nov. 10, 2024 Helsinki Hybrid
Roschier is one of the leading law firms in the Nordic region with offices in Helsinki and Stockholm. We specialize in business law and cover a broad range of practice areas, and the firm is well-known for its excellent track record of advising on demanding international business law assignments and large-scale transactions. In total, Roschier currently employs some 525 staff members.
We are now looking for new colleagues to join our Dispute Resolution practice in Helsinki.
Working as a lawyer in Dispute Resolution at Roschier
Roschier’s Dispute Resolution practice focuses on major commercial disputes in the region, specializing in international arbitration and complex court disputes. The team has extensive experience in managing disputes both locally in the Nordics and internationally. In addition to representing leading companies in domestic and international litigation and arbitration, the team frequently assists clients with various forms of alternative dispute resolution. Other important parts of the practice include strategic advice, preventive risk counseling, and legal risk and liability management.
One of the unique features is the close cooperation between the Stockholm and Helsinki offices, allowing us to draw on the cross-border resources of both offices for large international mandates.
To provide you with the best foundation for your future, you will work on assignments that help you grow as a professional, with close support from partners and senior colleagues. Therefore, we are proud to offer you a work context of complex assignments, where you can work with and learn from people who have years of experience.
Your profile
Working at Roschier means working with leading corporates on complex assignments. To meet our clients’ needs and challenges, we need colleagues with unique abilities, skills, and perspectives, who share our values and commitment to providing first-class service.
You enjoy inspiring teamwork in a business that extends across borders, sharing challenges and accomplishments, and ensuring the quality of our service. You strive to develop and grow personally and professionally, working on assignments that challenge you to become the best version of yourself.
We are currently seeking new colleagues to join our Dispute Resolution practice in Helsinki primarily for the following roles:
Senior Associate/Associate to work with complex commercial disputes, international arbitration and court cases. To succeed in this role, you should ideally have 3-7 years of post-graduation experience working with dispute resolution and possess strong passion for the field.
Associate with a focus on sanctions regimes. You may be a recent graduate with an interest in the topic, or you may already have some years of working experience on sanctions-related tasks. In this role, your focus will be on assisting our clients with matters related to the currently expanding sanctions regimes, supplemented with other assignments handled by the disputes practice. Therefore, a general interest in dispute resolution is also essential. Whether providing advice on our clients’ sanctions-related questions, developing compliance programs, corresponding with authorities on behalf of our clients, analyzing the potential sanctions risks related to a specific situation, conducting internal investigations, assisting in authority investigations, or invoking applicable sanctions in the context of various legal proceedings, we guide our clients through the related complexities.
We invest in you
To ensure your professional development, we offer an extensive learning program through Roschier University, tailored to support you at every step of your professional development and equip you with the professional skills you need to excel in your role as an associate and in your career.
