Description:

As the demand for our expertise continues to grow, we now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Public Health Associate/Technical Director to join our expanding Engineering Team.
Based at our office in London, you will play a very important role to help develop and expand the London Building Services Engineering team with new and existing opportunities. Working on a wide variety of prestigious and unique projects delivering innovative solutions for our clients within the London Market including residential, educational, industrial and commercial property sectors.
Our projects include industrial, commercial, education, residential and healthcare schemes with contract values between £3 to £100 million working for blue chip clients.
As a Senior Associate/Associate Partner at Ridge, you will be exposed to many sectors and many cultures. Supporting the delivery of the project you will be engaged with the complete design team, the engineering choices and direction to optimise benefits and value for money to the client and end users.
Working in a collaborative environment you will be instrumental in supporting the design development, taking on board other disciplines requirements.
Our projects are delivered to BIM level 2 standards (as a minimum). Allowing inputs and outputs to be customised and allow the tools to be used to their optimum.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • Educated to degree or HND level
  • Chartered or on pathway to Chartership
  • Proven experience in public health engineering
  • Strong knowledge of public health regulations, engineering design principles, and project management
  • Knowledge of current legislation e.g. UK Building Regulations
    You will have experience with designing projects from conception through to completion (including calculations, drawings, specifications), whilst demonstrating commercial awareness in winning work.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with developing Building Services within Ridge and be part of the Building Services discipline group
  • Lead the technical development of the group
  • Assisting the office Partner to lead and manage the Building Services team
  • Manage existing clients and develop further opportunities
  • Look to grow the group on the back of new and repeat clients
  • Be responsible for resourcing and delivering to a financial target
  • Raise awareness of Ridge by attendance at networking events, seminars and business development events.
  • Attending a range of project group and technical meetings
  • Ensuring that the design and maintenance of building systems meets legislative and health and safety requirements
  • Design and oversee the implementation of public health engineering projects
  • Peer review of colleagues works
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including public health professionals, environmental scientists, and community stakeholders
