Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administrations, Engineering, Operations Management, data analytics or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in process improvement, project management, or a similar role.
- Basic knowledge of business process mapping and performance measurement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to concisely present various subjects to leadership and coordinate all functional leads to provide requested data/updates.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or experience process mapping and leading process improvement projects.
- Skilled with formulating data and ideas into concise and meaningful visual communication in tools such as PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated project management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in data analytics, visualization, or automation tools such as Tableau, Smartsheet, Alteryx and UiPath.
- Demonstrated initiative (self-starting) and influencing without authority.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities:
The Sr. Associate Continuous Improvement (CI) works to support all the capabilities within the ACCP, including Site Operations and GCO Capabilities. The Sr Associate will lead business process improvement projects, working with general direction and objectives to partner with capability leads and teams. This individual will gather important data to understand the current process, identify opportunities for improvement, lead root cause analysis, and lead or participate in process improvement. In leading improvements, the Sr Associate will partner in setting objectives, establish project timelines, report on progress, and recognize and escalate problems.
In addition to process improvement, the Sr Associate will support management with driving cross-functional initiatives that are key to delivering on the long-range vision of the Amgen Capability Center Portugal. This individual will work out of the Amgen Capability Center located in Lisbon, Portugal, and report directly to Continuous Improvement Senior Manager.

- Lead and manage low to medium complexity process improvement projects to standardize, simplify and automate business processes to improve the efficiency, effectiveness of process controls, and improve customer satisfaction across different capabilities in ACCP.
- Proactively determine future process improvement opportunities and present options to leadership for review.
- Develop visual performance measurements and assist with operational design.
- Create and manage informative, actionable, and repeatable reporting that highlights relevant business trends and opportunities for improvement
- Applies knowledge and understanding of customer needs and other internal/external contacts to identify meaningful process improvements.
- Identify and monitor both recurring reporting requirements and assigned and ad hoc project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions.
- Conduct insightful, ad hoc analyses to investigate ongoing or one-time operational issues.
