Description:
Your Impact at Empire
As the Senior Associate, Corporate Finance, you will be responsible for financial analysis, credit structuring and cash flow planning among other corporate initiatives relating to its ongoing operations specific to debt capital needs. This role will engage in cross functional partnerships, considering the full asset life cycle, and support processes end to end. Additionally, assisting with the maintenance of corporate debt capital facilities, along with forecasting and reporting of borrowing base security will be a primary responsibility ensuring sufficient capacity is available for financial planning and treasury needs of the business. The Senior Associate, Corporate Finance will help drive Empire’s continued growth across North America, both geographically and through new lines of business.
This role is located at our Empire Canada Head Office in Vaughan, ON.

- Progress towards completion of CFA or CPA designation
- Strong experience creating and maintaining complex financial models for the purposes of asset analysis and determining impact on corporate liquidity, leverage, and returns

What You’ll Be Doing Each Day
- Develop, interpret, and communicate financial models underpinning new and existing projects and debt capital structures inclusive of credit derivative products to enhance and/or mitigate debt credit interest rate risk.
- Improve upon current tools and templates and develop new ones to streamline and standardize the debt capital and corporate borrowing base process.
- Analyze and support in developing clear, compelling, and professional presentations that will be shared to senior internal and external stakeholders, detailing the feasibility, opportunities, risks, etc. associated with current and new debt capital structures ensuring corporate covenant and legal compliance.
- Provide a wide range of financial and real estate focused analytical support as required to support the debt and ancillary debt related initiatives.
- Gather, interpret and communicate economic and divisional homebuilding asset data to support corporate finance decision making (i.e. sensitivity analysis, reviewing/contracting of third-party reports and appraisals etc.)
