We are currently seeking an Associate/Senior Data Engineer to join our global IT organization. This role involves collaborating with the Drug Development Departments for chemical and biological entities.
As a part of our team, you will be embedded in cross-functional product teams, working to build solutions that truly support our business. This position offers flexibility, allowing you to join as either an Associate Data Engineer or a Senior Data Engineer, depending on your experience and skills. This position is part time eligible with min. 80%.

REQUIREMENTS

• Master’s degree in fields such as computer science or mathematics, coupled with several years of IT experience, or a bachelor’s degree complemented by extensive relevant work experience
• An analytical mindset, that enables easy navigation through complex IT system landscapes and data domains
• Understanding of the whole technology stack: hardware, hypervisor, OS, hyperscaler, networking, interfacing, development up to containerization. Willingness to learn is a must
• Deep understanding of pharmaceutical product lifecycle processes and experience in a regulated environment (GxP)
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in both German and English

Additional requirements for Senior Data Engineer:

• Several years of relevant working experience in integration architecture, development, designing and implementing solutions
• Expertise in leading a project team and taking over project manager responsibility, gathering and refining requirements and coordinating between business stakeholder and technical delivery team
• Outstanding ability to solve problems and collaborate effectively, coupled with strong communication and a customer-focused approach

• In your new role as a Data Engineer, you will be at the heart of global development projects, taking charge of planning, defining, and implementing data driven solutions.
• Your passion for data value and customer focus will shine as you bridge the gap between business ideas and solutions. Ideally, you already bring first domain knowledge in the areas of drug development with you to support our partners in the development area best.
• You will play a leading role in developing concepts and solutions for data use-cases, contributing innovative ideas and expanding technical expertise.
• While the focus of your daily work is the development of data driven solution, you will also develop into business partners that holistically support our business partners with a strong focus on data driven use-cases.

As Senior Data Engineer, you have the following additional tasks & responsibilities:

• In your new role you will drive new solution discussions, coordinating between the product team, business stakeholders, and the technical team on system design matters.
• You will lead the architecture for data driven products, orchestrating the implementation from design to go-live, ensuring a seamless transition.
• As a technical leader, you will explore and recommend new technologies, playing a key role in shaping strategic direction and technological landscape.
