The ideal candidate would possess a strong passion for Data. To be considered for this role experience & abilities are likely to include:

  • Education: an advanced degree qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant quantitative subject (such as computer science, engineering, physics, statistics or applied mathematics);
  • Established experience & track record within advisory (ideally from a large Professional Services firm or from a digitally focused boutique);
  • Consult with internal stakeholders across various sector verticals and geographies to drive Data Intelligence value conversations to existing and new client engagements,
  • Demonstrated aptitude for both data & data analytics and an ability to work with numbers with ease with an ability to interpret and present advanced data & analytics and value propositions to all levels within an organisation,
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills;
  • Experience in Relational Databases/SQL, including working with large datasets;
  • Programming skills in at least one of the following languages: R, Python, VBA;
  • Experience in Tableau or other data visualisation tools: e.g., Power BI, Qlik, Spotfire;
  • A collaborative spirit and the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively to both colleagues and clients;
  • Demonstrate a willingness to continually develop skills and knowledge, keeping up with new trends and technologies in the industry;
  • Willingness to travel;
  • Native/Business fluent German & English language skills along with excellent writing skills;
  • Additional European languages (to a fluent business level would be highly valuable).

Responsibilities:

PURPOSE OF THE SENIOR ASSOCIATE / DIRECTOR ROLE IN THE DATA & INTELLIGENCE TEAM:

This is a fantastic opportunity for you to join a ‘hands on’ Data & Intelligence team. You will contribute to work streams on large programs but also smaller projects, leveraging your Data & Analytics knowhow and skill set in challenging the status quo and developing sound solutions either from an external point of view or in collaborative settings with your client organization.
Across DACH and alongside out broader European DTS team colleagues, our Data Intelligence team of data analysts, developers, business consultants and industry experts work with clients at all stages of their information evolution and provide the full breadth of capability from analytics strategy and transformation, through to advanced data science, Graph analytics, NLP, OCR, and Data Visualization. An example of a typical project may include analysing large sets of transaction data and helping the client to convert the new insights into tangible P+L improvements. Our Data (Analytics) & Intelligence Team is involved in all stages of the project, from data extraction until the full implementation of the new data processes, data model, dashboards, and the realization of the P+L improvements. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within an innovative team to apply state-of-the-art analytics to real world business challenges.
This work includes gathering and analysing information, formulating and testing hypotheses, and developing and communicating recommendations. You’ll also have the opportunity to present results to client management and implement recommendations in collaboration with client team members. You will work with clients and teams on broader consulting work that includes strategy, operations/processes, training, organisational structuring, new digital initiatives, and marketing with a strong digital focus.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

You will support the delivery of Data & Intelligence transformation projects within the DACH region and across EMEA, where identifying disruptive transformation levers and managing political complexity will be key to generate significant and sustainable savings. Assignments will focus on delivering large and complex transformation programs across our key client industries, bringing high added value to our clients (disruption mindset, restructuring DNA, acceleration of the transformation). To this effectively, you will need to:

  • Combine different tools and technologies to develop end to end analytical solutions that address our clients’ business challenges;
  • Help develop recommendations that can positively impact client businesses and enhance performance;
  • Work closely with senior business stakeholders and experts to develop new concepts, analytical solutions and innovative tools to support the evolving data landscape, often in complex situations;
  • Assist in Transformation Projects: Support the implementation of financial or operational improvements during large transformation projects, working in partnership with client management.   • Stay up to date with developments in the field of RPA, NLP and Machine Learning, architectures, and languages;
