Description:
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Family Senior Associate to join our tier one ranked team in our Cheltenham office. The role requires someone with experience of high value and complex matrimonial finance issues and private child law matters.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice to clients in a succinct manner, practical and persuasive manner
- Take a ‘hands on’ approach to managing own files and a broad case load
- Draft more complex documents with minimum instruction and supervision, making use of appropriate precedents
- Apply a commercial approach to research and evaluate relevance and accuracy in delivery of advice
- Where appropriate, delegate, co-ordinate and supervise the work of more junior members of the team
- Support Partners in client marketing and business development activities to develop the team’s client base, the individual’s contacts and the team’s network of referrers
- Contribute to group knowledge and know-how initiatives
- Comply with all relevant legal and regulatory obligations including the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Standards and Regulations, and Principles.
Person Specification
- Be an England and Wales qualified lawyer (or equivalent) with ideally a minimum of 6 years’ PQE, however we are open to considering candidates with less, as well as more experience
- Display a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Have a commitment to providing clients with a first-class service in line with the team’s reputation
- Have a strong focus on exceeding client expectations, proven evidence of anticipating client needs and resolving problems
- Be confident in communicating both orally and in writing with a diverse range of clients and professionals
- Have the ability to build and maintain collaborative, communicative relationships with client and within own team
- Take a ‘hands on’ approach to managing own files and a broad case load
- Be flexible and willing to undertake a wide variety of tasks
- Be a pro-active team player, who is also highly self-motivated and able to work on their own initiative
