Responsibilities:

Gowling WLG is home to one of the world’s strongest multi-disciplinary real estate legal teams. This role will be based within the Specialist Real Estate Services team, primarily dealing with the acquisition, development and disposal of property in the energy sector, together with due diligence, certificates of title and landlord and tenant transactions, working alongside some of Gowling’s most high profile clients, delivering commercial, fast paced and creative advice to those clients, in our role as trusted advisor.
Our team is small enough so that you feel an important part of it, but spans the firm and is large enough so that it can and does undertake very high quality work.
We have a non-hierarchical structure in which everyone shares the same working environment and there are no closed doors. Everyone takes pride in what they do, which means that things just get done, well. The team is dynamic, growing, and with a commitment to providing excellent, timely and pragmatic advice to clients and to developing the contacts needed to build and secure their business.
Working as part of a busy team, supporting and working closely with a partner and legal director, independently providing advice to owners, occupiers and investors on the full range of real estate issues, both in respect of landlord and tenant related work, the acquisition and disposal of freehold and leasehold land and other general commercial property. Transactions can often require creative thinking, necessitating a secure understanding of land law and a willingness to turn your hand to transactions you may not have undertaken previously.
