Capital Markets is part of KPMG Deal Advisory which consists of four departments: Capital Markets, Transaction Services, Deal Strategy and Corporate Finance. As a team, Capital Markets takes on a wide range of assignments within our four service lines: IPO & ESG readiness, Deal Accounting, US Capital Markets, and Internal Controls. The Capital Markets IT Internal Controls team is a cross-functional team specializing in U.S. SOX IT Audit, Artificial Intelligence, and Automation technologies.
Listed companies run their businesses in a regulatory environment. Within IPO & ESG readiness, we support our clients building robust organisations ready to act in a listed environment. As part of the preparations, we support our clients with project management, governance, risk and internal control and financial reporting. It is also of growing importance in the IPO preparations to support our clients to meet regulatory requirement and investor expectations on ESG. We are also part of KPMG’s listing review team, performing listing reviews of companies applying for a listing at Nasdaq Stockholm Main Market.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

Further you have:
- At minimum a Bachelor´s degree in a relevant field, such as business or economics
- Minimum of three years’ work experience
- Work experience from management consulting, risk consulting, internal audit, assurance, audit with a focus on large or listed companies or a finance function
- Excellent knowledge of Word, Excel and Powerpoint
- High proficiency in English and Swedish, both written and orally
It is meriting if you have:
- A master´s degree
- Prior experience in supporting junior colleagues in their daily work
- Prior experience working with internal controls, financial processes and financial reporting

- Supporting companies evaluating current state and design of their governance structure including for example the Board, executive management team and finance functions in accordance with the expectations of a listed company
Supporting companies when aligning internal business planning, budgeting and closing processes with listing requirements and best practice. The work includes for example review or update of budget documentation, business plans and internal monthly reports.
- Support in the preparation or review of financial information (annual report, interim reports, pro forma financials), quality assurance of prospectuses, analysis in transaction structuring.
- Together with the KPMG Listing auditor support with listing reviews as part of listings on Nasdaq Stockholm Main Market.
- Building your network through relationships with senior stakeholders at the client and within KPMG
Responsibilities:
Working with us you will develop your knowledge in a variety of questions related to companies in a listed environment. You will be focused on IPO & ESG readiness, but when needed you may be involved in engagements across all our service lines. Your daily work may for example include:
- Supporting companies evaluating current state and design of their governance structure including for example the Board, executive management team and finance functions in accordance with the expectations of a listed company.
Supporting companies with the preparations of governing documents, policies, and procedures expected to be in place before a listing.
- Supporting companies to establish an internal control framework that ensures accurate financial reporting and information disclosures. The work for example includes to lead workshops to document key financial processes, identify risks and mitigating controls in the processes, support in self-assessments/testing of controls and report the results.
- Supporting companies with establish a risk management framework for enterprise-wide risks. The work includes for example to identify, assess, and mitigate risks and support with reporting of the risks management procedures.
Supporting companies when aligning internal business planning, budgeting and closing processes with listing requirements and best practice. The work includes for example review or update of budget documentation, business plans and internal monthly reports.
- Support in the preparation or review of financial information (annual report, interim reports, pro forma financials), quality assurance of prospectuses, analysis in transaction structuring.
- Together with the KPMG Listing auditor support with listing reviews as part of listings on Nasdaq Stockholm Main Market.
