Description:
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Participate in the development of audit plans, including risk assessment, scope determination, and identifying key audit areas, in accordance with Singapore Standards of Auditing (“SSA”).
- Perform detailed testing of financial records, transactions, and internal controls to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Analyse financial statements, disclosures, and supporting documentation to identify potential errors, misstatements, or irregulates.
- Evaluate effectiveness of internal controls by assessing their design and implementation, making recommendations for improvements where necessary.
- Prepare comprehensive audit documentation that supports findings, conclusions, and recommendations. Ensure all working papers are accurate and well-organised.
- Communicate and document audit findings, recommendations, and insights in accordance with SSA to clients, audit managers and partners in a clear and professional manner. Address client questions and concerns related to audit processes.
- Supervise and mentor junior audit staff, providing guidance, reviewing their work, and promoting their professional development.
- Stay up to date with relevant accounting standards, auditing regulations, and industry developments to ensure compliance and provide value-added insights to clients.
- Manage multiple audit engagement simultaneously, adhering to deadlines, allocating resources effectively, and ensuring quality work delivery.
- Identify opportunities to enhance audit methodologies, tools, and processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Degree in accounting / finance or equivalent professional qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience candidates
- Strong understanding with of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and auditing standards.
- Proactive, committed, and able to work under pressure.
- Possess strong initiative to complete each assigned engagements / task.
- Possess the ability to work cohesively and harmoniously as a team player.
