Description:

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Participate in the development of audit plans, including risk assessment, scope determination, and identifying key audit areas, in accordance with Singapore Standards of Auditing (“SSA”).
  • Perform detailed testing of financial records, transactions, and internal controls to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Analyse financial statements, disclosures, and supporting documentation to identify potential errors, misstatements, or irregulates.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of internal controls by assessing their design and implementation, making recommendations for improvements where necessary.
  • Prepare comprehensive audit documentation that supports findings, conclusions, and recommendations. Ensure all working papers are accurate and well-organised.
  • Communicate and document audit findings, recommendations, and insights in accordance with SSA to clients, audit managers and partners in a clear and professional manner. Address client questions and concerns related to audit processes.
  • Supervise and mentor junior audit staff, providing guidance, reviewing their work, and promoting their professional development.
  • Stay up to date with relevant accounting standards, auditing regulations, and industry developments to ensure compliance and provide value-added insights to clients.
  • Manage multiple audit engagement simultaneously, adhering to deadlines, allocating resources effectively, and ensuring quality work delivery.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance audit methodologies, tools, and processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in accounting / finance or equivalent professional qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience candidates
  • Strong understanding with of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and auditing standards.
  • Proactive, committed, and able to work under pressure.
  • Possess strong initiative to complete each assigned engagements / task.
  • Possess the ability to work cohesively and harmoniously as a team player.
